Education Pathways

  • Bard Microcollege for Just Community Leadership
The nation’s first tuition-free college dedicated to advocacy, arts and sciences and a hub of learning, teaching, and thinking among a community of formerly incarcerated people and social justice advocates in New York City.
  • Collaborative for Liberal Education for Adolescents (CLEA)
Developing initiatives that increase access to higher education for adolescents in Palestinian high schools and at TSI, a pioneering early college in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
  • Consortium for the Liberal Arts in Prison
The Bard Prison Initiative established the Consortium for the Liberal Arts in Prison with support from the Open Society Institute to facilitate the establishment of new college-in-prison program-building across the US, calling for those programs to be of the highest academic integrity, ambition, and rigor.
  • English Learner Success in Content Classrooms
Improving the teaching of general education and field-specific classes in English through the development of online courses at Al-Quds Bard College and AUCA
  • Hubs for Connected Learning Initiatives
