Meet the 2024–25 Student Global Engagement Fellows
Fellows are chosen on the basis of their leadership skills, their desire to work collaboratively, and their ability to develop and sustain impactful civic engagement projects. Fellows implement civic engagement projects based in their communities and institutions, aiming for positive social change.
An important part of the Global Engagement Fellows’ work is to lead civic engagement activities designed to include and inspire students across the network. These activities and projects include Monthly Civic Engagement Workshops, office hours, an annual magazine, and a podcast series.
The Monthly Civic Engagement Workshops bring student leaders together so anyone tuning in can learn from their experiences and get inspired to lead. Attendees benefit from trainings in subjects such as how to design and manage a civic engagement project, how to write a proposal, how to sustain a project, and more. The goal is to offer a step forward for today’s leaders so they can contribute more productively and effectively to their communities.
Global Engagement Fellows are the conduit for learning about all things related to student civic engagement across OSUN. This includes civic engagement courses, certificates, and conferences.
Current Fellows hail from Al-Quds Bard College, American University of Beirut, American University of Bulgaria, American University of Central Asia, Ashesi University, Bard College Annandale, Bard College Berlin, BRAC University, Central European University, Fulbright University, Hubs for Connected Learning Initiatives, Parami University, Universidad de los Andes, and University of Witwatersrand.
