Live Streaming Reimagined: Pandemic Theater Experiments at the Junges DT

After theaters were forced to close their doors in March 2020, the youth Deutsches Theater in Berlin demonstrated creative adaptability in the face of severe constraints such as not being able to communicate with their audience. The theater switched to a digital format and gave online viewers a more authentic experience through high-intensity, close-range shooting and performing in alternative “heterotopic” spaces.
