Call for Abstracts: Political, Moral, and Legal Philosophy Research Group
The Political, Moral, and Legal Philosophy Research Group (POLEMO) at CEU invites students and scholars from across OSUN to submit abstracts for its annual conference, the 4th POLEMO Symposium on June 1-2, 2023 in Vienna.The Symposium provides a professional, stimulating, and international environment for Ph.D. students and early career researchers in political theory to discuss their works in progress, establish informal networks, and initiate future collaborative research. The aim is to bring together a diverse group of scholars for a lively and productive exchange. POLEMO encourages applications from groups whose backgrounds are under-represented in political theory. Keynote speakers for this year will be José L. Martí (Pompeu Fabra University) and Eszter Kollár (KU Leuven). The conference is open to all topics in contemporary analytic political, legal and moral philosophy. This year there is a focus on contributions to legitimacy of global institutions and theories of global justice.
Applicants should send an extended abstract of no more than 1500 words to [email protected]. Abstracts should be in PDF format and prepared for blind review. In the body of your email please include your name, institutional affiliation, and contact information. Submitted abstract should be suitable for a 25-minute presentation, followed by a 20-minute discussion. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by 31 March 2023.
