Bridging Community to Classroom and Co-Curricular Experiences: Community Engagement & Experiential Learning Grants
The OSUN Civic Engagement Initiative works with partners across the network to support:- the development of courses that connect student’s classroom experiences with the community to enhance learning and promote active citizenship;
- the development of trainings for faculty engaged learning and pedagogy design;
- co-curricular programmatic efforts to enhance and strengthen linkages to community engagement and experiential learning.
Funding may be used for:
- Community Engaged Liberal Arts and Sciences course support
- Faculty trainings/retreats
- Stipends for faculty planning meetings
- Stipends for community partners and guest speakers
- Community partner engagement
- Course fellows/teaching assistants
- Community speakers, activists, and artists whose work focuses on engagement
- Field trips and site visits
