Applications Still Open for CEU Summer University 2023

CEU Summer University continues accepting applications for the fifteen courses developed in close collaboration with OSUN.
Check out extended application deadlines here. Apply before places are filled!

CEU SUN is a program for advanced undergrads, graduate students, postdocs, junior faculty, and researchers, as well as professionals who wish to upgrade their knowledge in a variety of areas in the social sciences and humanities, gain applied skills, and build interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral networks. The courses, offered for one or two weeks from June 26 to July 31 are taught by international teams of scholars and practitioners and use CEU’s state-of-the-art academic resources and facilities. The courses will be held on CEU’s Budapest campus (with the exception of one course taught in Vienna).

The CEU summer school is an integral part of OSUN and aims to serve the thematic and skills-building needs of our colleagues and students and provide an effective framework for building stronger and more active linkages at the peer as well as the institutional level.  Faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and research associates from throughout the network are all encouraged to apply.

OSUN scholarships are available for all courses for participants currently enrolled or employed in an OSUN institution. OSUN applicants will be prioritized in the selection for scholarships.

Students can experience the geographical and disciplinary diversity of the summer school participants and faculty, the interdisciplinary design of the courses, and the multiple perspectives in dialogue during the classes.

“I don't know that the most important outcome of this course was that I 'learned' something. It was more the opportunity to hear, consider, challenge, discuss, and reflect on such a rich variety of approaches to the question of democracy that I found valuable.”
-Course Participant, Dismantling Democracy from Within, 2022

Last Deadline to Apply is Monday, March 20
