Call for Applications: Spring 2024 Graduate Study Mobility Opportunities
OSUN graduate students can apply for scholarships to study abroad with a select list of participating institutions in the Spring of 2024.Eligibility
Graduate students* (Master’s and Doctoral level) enrolled at the following institutions can apply for funding to study at another of the listed institutions for the Spring semester/ Winter/Spring term in the current round:
- Al-Quds University, East Jerusalem, Palestine
- American University of Central Asia, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
- Bard College, NY, USA
- BRAC University, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Central European University, Vienna, Austria
- European Humanities University, Vilnius, Lithuania
- National Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan
- Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, USA
- Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia
- University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa
An overview of program disciplines available at the MA/PhD levels can be found here. For a detailed list of their offerings please refer to the individual websites. MBA programs at the respective institutions are excluded from this exchange program.
OSUN student mobility provides educational opportunities to further studies in relation to OSUN Themes. The statement of purpose needs to establish a clear relationship of the proposed studies to one or more of the OSUN themes. Prior OSUN experience is desirable (online or network course, civic engagement, conference, other) but not absolutely required.
This is a tuition exchange program where eligible students pay their regular tuition at their home institution. Scholarships are available through the application and are awarded based on both need and merit.
Application
Applications for graduate study mobility should be submitted through the application platform.
Only completed applications that include a reference will be considered.
Deadline to apply is Saturday, September 30
The following materials must be submitted with the application:
- Reference / Letter of support from your supervisor / academic program director at your home institution
- Filled out application form on the application platform. Please sign in using the OSUN login with your institutional e-mail address.
- A completed and signed study plan for each of the intended (maximum 2) host institutions
- A statement of purpose for the proposed study mobility which clearly relates the proposed study abroad to OSUN themes
- Up-to-date resume (CV)
- Proof of language proficiency if language at host university/ies differ/s from that of home university
Scholarship
Graduate Mobility offers a combination of merit- and need-based scholarships. The scholarship level depends on the destination institution.
Scholarships cover accommodation and living costs, mandatory insurance, sundries can be covered. Additional travel stipends are available.
Timeline and Procedure
Applications will be reviewed by a Student Mobility Selection Committee composed of representatives from participating OSUN institutions.
Successful candidates will be nominated to their host institution of choice and will need to fill out the non-degree seeking student application for that institution. Final admission decisions are made by the respective host institution.
A brief follow-up questionnaire and grant report to OSUN Graduate Mobility Programs is due four weeks after the completion of the program.
