Central European University, the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, and the American University of Central Asia are collaborating to develop engaged curricula and pedagogies that actively address global public policy challenges. This work is conducted with the support of other academics, policymakers, practitioners and members of civil society. Practice-based scholarship and dynamic faculty exchanges are part of this work, as is the assembly of a set of engaged online teaching materials and expanded access to research partners and expert resources. Partners also commission public surveys, purchase data, and organize high profile-public dissemination events to help amplify public policy impacts on issues such as energy efficiency, ecosystem adaptation, abandoned farmlands, and COVID.
