Submit Proposals for Intensive Courses at CEU in 2026
Deadline: June 1, 2025
The CEU Summer University (SUN) program invites applications for teaching intensive courses at CEU’s sites in Budapest and Vienna. The program supports one- or two-week intensive courses held between January and December 2026, with a dedicated summer program between June 22 and July 31, 2026. The program aims to advance innovative thinking and socially engaged knowledge and ideas on current global challenges, through targeted learning and skills-building opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, junior researchers and professionals, policymakers, business and social entrepreneurs and civil society advocates.
Courses last 4-10 working days. The courses are intensive, full-day activities, including a minimum of 24 hours of teaching per week, complemented with assignments, field work and site visits, and extracurricular activities (48 hours of teaching is required in a two-week course).
The courses are developed collaboratively and team-taught by 2-6 faculty (with additional presenters as needed). The recommended class size is 25-35 participants. The participants are selected by the course directors or a small selection committee of the course faculty. The courses are typically delivered in a live classroom setting with in-person participation.
The program offers the following types of courses:
- Research Seminars
- Professional Advancement Courses
