Call for Liberal Arts and Sciences Advisors

The LAS Collab has announced a call for individuals to serve as Liberal Arts and Sciences Advisers for the LAS Collab global partnership base of higher education institutions (largely members of OSUN). LAS Advisers serve as resource persons who are available to provide one-hour, primarily virtual, consultations with individuals/institutions interested in strengthening their provision of LAS education. LAS Advisers are expected to have experience in a particular niche that could benefit LAS education, including:
- Leading interdisciplinary curricular planning
- Constructing syllabi
- Facilitating interactive classroom discussions
- Teaching academic literacy
- Leading campus-wide LAS transformations
- Supporting inclusive education practices
- Integrating generative AI into coursework
The LAS Collab intends to compile and publicly host a database of LAS Adviser profiles, which will be accessible to individuals and institutions that are seeking support to strengthen their LAS education delivery. LAS Advisers are expected to remain on-call from October 2023 - June 2024 (with possibility of extension).
For each one-hour consultation session, the LAS Adviser will receive a stipend of 150 USD. The number of consultations will vary on a partner-by-partner basis. The scheduling of consultations will be in agreement with the LAS Adviser.

Affiliation with the OSUN is not a pre-requisite for becoming an LAS Adviser or for seeking consultation from LAS Collab.
