Digital Commons Expands Open Educational Resources Available to the OSUN Community and the Public
The collection contains articles, books, syllabi, course materials, case studies, textbooks, and other items created by OSUN faculty, staff, and students. Reusers can distribute, adapt, and build upon the materials in any medium or format, with attribution. Creating and sharing OERs increases the lasting impact of the work by facilitating discovery and re-use.
Under Teaching Tools, faculty can find numerous Liberal Arts and Sciences Strengthening Guides created in collaboration with the LAS Collab. Each guide delves into the best practices and lessons learned in various aspects of LAS administration, curriculum, and pedagogy. These guides are crafted with the intention of being adaptable and applicable by LAS education practitioners globally.
The Best Practices for Teaching Nontraditional Learners section provides interactive teaching toolkits demonstrating best practices for creating inclusive, engaged, and impactful college-level classroom communities. Faculty can find techniques and exercises relevant to integrating academic standards with student support, building trust in the classroom, and creating community.
The Case Studies section provides a series of written and video case studies, created by OSUN faculty, staff, and students, intended to spark discussion in the classroom. Topics range from living with disability in Bangladesh to empowering young men of color in the US.
Materials in the OSUN OER Digital Commons seeks to collect, preserve, and provide worldwide access to the scholarly and artistic outputs of the OSUN community.
