Tamo Chattopadhay

American University of Central Asia

Dr Tamo Chattopadhay is a Professor and the Founding Director of the Institute of Education at American University of Central Asia in Kyrgyzstan, where he also served as the Dean of Social Sciences Division. He is affiliated as a Faculty at the Department of Public Management at FGV Sao Paulo School of Business and Public Administration in Brazil. A Fulbright awardee, he was previously an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Notre Dame (USA), and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University in New York. He brings twenty years of experience as an applied education policy research consultant with international development organizations (UNICEF, UNESCO, World Bank) in Latin America (Brazil), Central Asia, and South / South-East Asia. Tamo holds a Doctorate in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University.
