Mariana Bodnaruk

Bard College

Dr. Mariana Bodnaruk is an OSUN GIAS Postdoctoral Fellow at Central European University, Budapest/Vienna. They received their PhD in Medieval Studies from Central European University in Budapest in 2019. In 2019-2023, they were a Visiting Assistant Professor at Al-Quds Bard College for Arts and Sciences in East Jerusalem, Palestine. They taught as Visiting Faculty Member at Bard College, NY, in Spring and Summer 2023. They held postdoctoral research fellowships at New Europe College, Institute for Advanced Study in Bucharest (2020-2021), Centre for Advanced Study in Sofia (2021-2022), and CEU Institute for Advanced Study (2022-2023). They are currently a Global Institute for Advanced Study Fellow at the Department of Medieval Studies at CEU (2023-2024), where they teach at the Invisible University for Ukraine (IUFU), an OSUN-sponsored program. Dr. Bodnaruk specializes in art and cultural history as well as gender and sexuality.
