Jarkyn Shadymanova

American University of Central Asia

Jarkyn Shadymanova is an Associate Professor at the Sociology Department, American University of Central Asia in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. She has an a Ph.D. degree from Kyrgyz National University and Bishkek Humanities University, Kyrgyzstan. She has been a fellow as CLASP, ELI, NUPI, WEF IGS Oxford University etc. She was also a postdoctoral researcher at the Sociology Consumption and Household Group, Wageningen University and Department of Anthropology, University of Amsterdam. Jarkyn is an author and co-author of numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters on social issues. She teaches courses such as Introduction into Sociology I and II, General Sociology, kNOwVAVdata course, and Quantitative Research Methods.
