Danila Raskov

Smolny Beyond Borders

Danila Raskov holds a PhD in Economics, currently he is a Visiting Professor at Uppsala University. His main research interests are the development of early political economy, cameral sciences, the history of economic institutions, religion and economic issues. In St. Petersburg University, he headed the Center for the Study of Economic Culture (2011 – 2022) and also served as Acting Dean of the Smolny College (Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences (2020 – 2022)). He was a researcher in Walras and Pareto Center, University of Lausanne (2012, 2017), Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies, Helsinki University (2015, 2022 – 2024) and in Lichtenberg-Kolleg, Göttingen University (2018). He had been serving on the Council of The European Society of the History of Economic Thought (2018-2024). He is the author of two books “The Economic Institutions of Old Believers” (2012) and “The Rhetoric of Institutional Economics” (2023).
