Bugra Güngör

American University of Central Asia

Dr. Buğra Güngör is Associate Professor of International and Comparative Politics at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA). Dr. Güngör obtained his Ph.D in International Relations and Political Science at the Geneva Graduate Institute (GGI) in Switzerland. Before Dr. Güngör joined AUCA, he was a post-doctoral researcher at Bilkent University and previously taught at the GGI, the Geneve Centre of Humanitarian Studies, and Sabanci University. He completed his MA in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Sabanci and his BA in Philosophy and minor degree in Political Science at Bilkent. His research focuses on conflict processes, foreign aid, development, and humanitarian affairs. One of his PhD papers titled "Foreign Aid During the Pandemic: Evidence From Turkey" was published in Southeast European and Black Sea Studies. Lastly, Dr. Güngör teaches, among others, Foreign Policy Analysis, Comparative Politics, Quantitative Research Methods, and Foundations of Policy Analysis.
