In this course, students will explore the challenges of writing creative nonfiction. They will focus on the craft of memoir, the art of literary reportage, and the literary essay. Creative nonfiction the art of “true stories, well-told.” Over the duration of the course, students will form a creative community of writers and readers. They will go from taking their first steps in writing nonfiction to engaging with the global marketplace, pitching their creative nonfiction for publication.
