This course will explore the causes and consequences of racial and ethnic health inequities and examine the history of how different countries have responded to these inequities. This course will also explore how various populations around the world respond and adapt to new outbreaks of disease and illness, factors that limit the effectiveness of these responses, and examine how community-based activism and large-scale social movements could move countries closer to achieving health equity.
