Day/Time: Monday; Wednesday 7:30 AM - 8:45 AM EST
Instructor: Kamila Mateeva, American University of Central Asia
Philosophy of law investigates the nature of law, especially in its relation to human values, attitudes, practices, and political communities. The course provides insight into the nature of law, its theoretical and philosophical foundations, and its origin. But of course, talking about law is impossible without covering what is a state, theories of state, functions, and interrelations with law. We will also cover positive law theories and their reflections within the legal system of the state and their role in society.
