Gaza Writes Her Place

In this online course, students will learn to close read, think, and write attentively with creative texts in various genres, by contemporary Gazan writes (based in Gaza and exile), alongside secondary literature that contextualizes Gaza's historical and current realities. In our course discussions of these texts, we will focus on interrelated themes of language, voice and storytelling, power, colonialism, and race, visibility and representation, positionality and embodiment, and translation.
