This course examines how the UN plays a vital role in global diplomacy, security, and international law. It explores the UN institutional structure, human rights contributions, and practical application of international law. It also examines the UN’s role in sanctions, humanitarian efforts, and engagement in conflict settings. Students gain insights into multilateral negotiations, consensus-building, and conflict resolution.
Prerequisites: Preliminary classes that are taught during the first year. These include history, introduction to laws and politics, etc.
