This course aims at introducing students to the key facts and trends of international migration. Why do people migrate? What are the social and economic consequences of migration for countries and families left behind? What are the implications of migration of highly skilled workers? What is the role of migrant remittances? What challenges researchers face in identifying impact of migration? We will study migration within the context climate change, conflicts and aging population.
