Because of its visceral, communal nature, theater has always been an agent for change across the globe. In this hands-on-course we will study theater companies that have affected political and social change through their activism. Students will work together in groups to identify concerns they want to address and create activist theater projects which address those concerns. Bread and Puppet Theater, Out of Hand Theater and other theater practitioners will visit our class to share their activism
