Focusing on Muslim women’s writing, this course engages students with literature representing multiple genres and geographic regions. We consider Muslim women’s experiences and how (often from the margins), they make their voices heard across the world. From exploring themes of identity and belonging, to confronting societal norms and challenging stereotypes, we will examine literature as a tool for empowerment and self-expression.
