Right to health, defined as the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health, is a fundamental human right. This course will explore public health issues from a rights-based perspective. Students will delve into the core components of the right to health through analyzing key legal documents, exploring the role of international actors, governments, and public health authorities with a focus on health equity and the social determinants of health.
