Global Issues in the Health of Women, Children and Adolescents

This public health course focuses on women’s health issues across the lifespan, including children and adolescents. The course will discuss gendered roles of women, origins of patriarchy and need for a broader perspective. Global south countries will receive greater attention. Global health indicators will be used to compare countries with a particular emphasis on Afghanistan. A gendered perspective will be used to examine the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030.
