This course is an exploration of the ways fictionality impacts the process of interpretation in a variety of disciplines. Studying the concept of fiction beyond the arts, the course investigates the way fiction appears and/or impacts planning, innovation, categorization, identification, social decorum, social construction, nations and borders, dreaming, identification, theory of mind, and sympathy.
