Child Rights Protection course will explore the origins of child rights and the history of development of the world's most widely ratified international treaty, i.e. the UN CRC. Students will learn about the different dimensions of children’s rights and the international child rights monitoring mechanisms. The course will explore factors that impact child wellbeing and their ability to enjoy rights at individual, family, community and national levels. This course is focused on a practical application of concepts and knowledge gained in this course and will focus on a specific vulnerable group: the rights of children affected by migration and displacement in the context of labour migration, climate induced migration and conflict. This course is part of an OSUN Network Collaborative Course.
