Eligibility
The certificate is available to students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Students at institutions that do not have formal programs in human rights, as well as those that do, may apply for the certificate.
Requirements
Students must complete five courses in human rights at any institution. These courses include:
- one introductory course in human rights law, politics, advocacy, or practice;
- one course that examines human rights as a transnational or global practice or phenomenon;
- one course taught from a perspective other than that of law or politics;
- two Online Courses or Network Collaborative Courses, or Summer Courses in human rights.
