Romina de Jong
Parami UniversityDr. Romina de Jong holds a B.A. in Social Work, a M.A. in Philosophy of Education, and a Ph.D. in Educational Studies (Leiden University, NL). As a Ph.D. researcher she was an exchange scholar at the Stanford University School of Education in 2009. From 2012-2022 she worked in SE Asia in the field of education with a focus on curriculum design and M&E of education programs. She currently pursues a M.Sc. in Climate psychology and behaviour at the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam (NL).
She has worked as a cognitive behavioral trainer with justice-involved populations with substance use disorders and as a social worker with people with Asperger Syndrome. Her academic research and publications focused on pre-service teacher education and the teacher-student relationship. In South-East Asia, her work was focused on educational research and management, curriculum development and training. She worked in the field of (corporate) sustainability, renewable energy and energy efficiency. She was one of the founders of the Solar Energy Association of Cambodia, lead of the Oxfam CSR platform, and chair of the Greenbiz committee of the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia. At Parami University, Dr. Romina de Jong is a social science faculty and the head of General Education.
