Bugra Güngör
American University of Central AsiaDr. Buğra Güngör is an Assistant Professor of International and Comparative Politics at the American University of Central Asia. Dr. Güngör obtained his Ph.D. in International Relations and Political Science at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva (IHEID). Before Dr. Güngör joined AUCA, he served as a Teaching Assistant in the International and Development Studies post-graduate program at IHEID between 2017 - 2021 and at the Geneve Centre of Humanitarian Studies. He completed his MA in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Sabancı University and his BA in Philosophy at Bilkent University. His research focuses on conflict processes, foreign aid, development, and humanitarian affairs. One of his Ph.D. papers titled Foreign aid during the pandemic: evidence from Turkey was published in Southeast European and Black Sea Studies. Lastly, Dr. Güngör is currently teaching Foreign Policy Analysis, Senior Thesis I, and Democracy in Dark Times.
