The development of Islamic knowledge from the 8th to 14th century started in Baghdad in the famous House of Wisdom (Bayt al-Ḥikmah, late 8th century), and experts from Central Asia were very dynamic there. It is certainly the missing link between the Antique sciences and the modern world which deserves to be discovered in the light of the latest research. Students will learn about the history of sciences in Islamic world but more importantly they will learn how to use and analyze primary and secondary sources from libraries, archives and digital repositories. They will be able to use search tools and finding tools to be able to start research in their future studies.
