Rising competition among great powers like Russia, China, the United States, India and Japan increasingly shapes the global political environment and the risk of major war has not been this high since the end of the Cold War. In this course, students will explore the historical roots of today’s great power competition while following key developments on the global scene as other powers large and small react to the intensifying contest between the United States and China.
