Building on the expertise of the Master of Arts in Teaching Programs at American University of Central Asia (AUCA), Al-Quds Bard College (AQB), and Bard College, Enhanced Network Teacher Education Capacity (ENTEC) extends MAT reach in the Middle East, Central Asia, and other OSUN regions through online and on-site workshops to secondary educators and schools that are far from the universities. ENTEC expands upon MAT offerings through the development of online content and workshops based on the courses and expertise of network MAT faculty and develops the capacity of the MAT programs in educational domains that are in high demand, such as inclusive education and instructional technology.
In its first year, ENTEC successfully developed an OSUN Teacher Mentoring Certificate Program. This program is a joint product of Bard College, AQB, and AUCA, is research-based and draws on nearly two decades of MAT program fieldwork with in-service and pre-service teachers. The program can be adapted in scope and delivery, with oversight by the ENTEC leadership.
