Call for Participants: Hannah Arendt Humanities Network Co-laboratory on Racial, Economic and Educational Inequalities Convening in March 2021The Hannah Arendt Humanities Network invites OSUN students to participate in an online Co-laboratory on the subject of racial, economic and educational inequalities. Participants will identify key drivers influencing inequality and explore and identify effective actions that the OSUN network could undertake to address these existential societal challenges.
The Co-laboratory will utilize the cutting-edge methodologies and technologies of the science of Structured Democratic Dialogue (SDD). Academics and students from the OSUN network of schools and universities, from widely differing backgrounds, interests, and viewpoints will contribute unreservedly and reach consensus on fundamental values such as solidarity, tolerance, respect for diversity, equality, and justice. A road-map with specific actions fostering sustainable change on OSUN campuses will be jointly developed. Deliberations, conducted over a virtual conferencing platform, will be documented and a final report including video recordings will be published.
The Co-Laboratory will be conducted using the Zoom platform during 2-hour meetings to be held on three consecutive weeks:
Thursday March 4th, 11th, and, 18th from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm EST
Between online sessions participants will contribute individually via e-mail at a time of their own choosing, and this will not exceed a further 3-4 hours in total.
An honorarium of US $100 will be paid to each participant.
